Last year, in 2022, Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her Platinum Jubilee, and became the first monarch in British history to reign for 70 years - a truly historic anniversary.

Elizabeth was proclaimed Queen at the age of 25, on 6th February 1952, after the death of her father, King George VI. Her coronation took place on 2nd June 1953 at Westminster Abbey, London. On 9th September 2015, Queen Elizabeth II surpassed her great-great-grandmother Queen Victoria and became the longest-reigning monarch in British history.
