'Concorde - The Legend' Commemorative Strike

The French and British aviation industries joined forces to create the supersonic passenger airline 'Concorde' over a development phase of 15 years. A legend was born as Concorde took off on its maiden voyage from Toulouse more than 50 years ago on the 2nd March 1969. A true design icon Concorde's sleek triangular wings enabled it to fly at exceptionally high speed - its top speed ofalmost 1,553.43 mph was faster than twice the speed of sound. Even though it was retired in October 2003 it is still regarded as a marvel of technical innovation and is the pride of two nations.

Exclusive to HMK, this commemorative strike, depicts Concorde in stunning detail with its bright colour finish and exquisite 24-carat gold-plating.
