'50th Anniversary First Flight' Commemorative Strike

The first flight of the 'Thunderbird': a sharp nose, a lean body and unique delta wings - brandmarks of a supersonic legend of aviation: Concorde. The 'Thunderbird', as Concorde was also called, launched to her maiden flight on 2 March 1969, Engeneers, pilots, and together with them the whole nation held their breath when the elegant Concorde lifted off to the skies for the first time. After only half an hour the plane landed safely in Le Bourget. A milestone in aviation history! Now, this moment of triumph is 50 years old.
